Wintry engagement love with Amanda and Wacey . Blue Sage Barn at Prairiewood, Manhattan, Kansas

It takes a certain kind of resiliency to brave 20 snowy degrees in Kansas, all for the magic window of time you have available in your schedule for engagement photos, but somehow, Amanda and Wacey had that very sense of resiliency. Not only did they endure the cold weather, but they kept themselves in bright spirits as though it was a nice 75 degree day.

Normally, I like to take engagement sessions to get to know a couple better, and while we certainly bonded, most of our conversation energy was spent keeping our teeth from chattering. Looking at the photos though, you’d never guess that we were taking breaks in our cars to regain feeling in our frozen fingers.

Beautiful as ever, Blue Sage Barn at Prairiewood made for the most gorgeous setting for their engagement photos, and will certainly be a Tallgrass dream when they get married there this summer.

Bonding through cold-trauma isn’t my favorite way to bond, but I’m super glad we got to take all of these beautiful photos together, Amanda and Wacey! If I learned anything about the two of you, it’s that you’re suuuuper cool. No pun intended. ;)
